Joe Shepherd was given the dreadful news that he had cancer last year, but the disease has now spread throughout his body. He was diagnosed with grade three neuroendocrine cancer and his condition was terminal with a life expectancy of up to 18 months. "After eight tough rounds of chemotherapy already, Joe has to start chemotherapy treatment again. Joe, served in the Army from 2002 until 2009 and completed many tours, including Northern Ireland in 2002, Afghanistan in 2003. The devoted dad eventually worked his way up to becoming a junior operations manager, overseeing up to 120 officers on a daily basis.
