A father dumped his newborn daughter in a waste bin, allegedly because he thought she was going to die. He told police he thought she was ‘incurable’ because she started to turn purple a couple of hours after being born. He had put the child, born just two hours earlier, in a paper bag before putting her in the pile of rubbish. Police tracked the man down and he claimed that after his girlfriend gave birth, the baby began to turn purple. The incident took place last Monday and police arrested the man and his girlfriend on Tuesday evening.
