Dagenham & Redbridge have reported that their striker Inih Effiong is sitting up in bed and feeling much better this morning after he received medical treatment at the end of his side’s match with Maidenhead United yesterday (Saturday). The striker received medical treatment from both clubs in the immediate aftermath of Maidenhead’s 1-0 win at York Road before being taken to Wycombe General Hospital by ambulance. Magpies’ centre half, Kevin Lokko – a close friend of Inih’s – also supported his finance Jemma at the hospital last night. The update from Dagenham this morning said: “The club is pleased to report that after a night in Wycombe General Hospital Inih Effiong is sitting up in bed and feeling much better. Also, the response paramedics and the staff at Wycombe General Hospital.
