The SPC's severe weather outlook for July 26, 2021. Forecast: NOAA/SPC | Map: Dennis MersereauA round of severe thunderstorms is possible across parts of the Upper Midwest overnight Monday into Tuesday, bringing a threat for very large hail, damaging winds, and possibly a couple of tornadoes. A chance for severe thunderstorms is dangerous anytime, but it’s particularly concerning when the risk for severe weather occurs overnight. While the greatest risk from tonight’s storms looks to be very large hail, the storms could also produce damaging wind gusts and even a couple of tornadoes. Many injuries and fatalities sustained during severe thunderstorms occur when trees fall into homes.
