DANNY WELBECK missed a penalty, handled the ball, started a scuffle and got booked all within a calamitous few seconds against West Ham. Brighton‘s frontman, 35, was entrusted with the 36th-minute spot-kick after Lucas Paqueta hauled down Lewis Dunk in the box. Welbeck then handled the ball when scrambling to get the rebound, giving away a West Ham free-kick. But Welbeck’s missed penalty wasn’t quite so haunting as it might have been. Joel Veltman scored just after the hour mark as West Ham and Brighton shared a point following a 2-2 draw.
