KUALA LUMPUR: Federal police have nabbed the head of the notorious Double Seven gang in a special operation Tuesday evening. Federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh said the suspect was detained to facilitate investigation under the Societies Act. He said police were also investigating the man over another case in Chenderiang, Perak, but did not divulge further details. It said that those picked up were leaders of unregistered non-governmental organisations suspected to be linked to the underworld, and advised members to watch out for authorities raids. However, Mohmad said that only the Double Seven leader has been picked up so far.
