Lopes described the attack on Capital FM as "a serious violation of freedom of expression." Police told journalists they are investigating, though no official update has been released and the attackers have not been identified. Attack denouncedThe attack on Capital FM was condemned by Guinea-Bissau government officials including Mamadu Serifo Djaquite, minister of the presidency. In June, Serifo Camara, a Capital FM editor, was attacked by armed men just outside the radio station following a late-evening newscast.
