Libya’s outgoing prime minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, had a verbal altercation with one of his ministers during today’s cabinet meeting in Tripoli. The confrontation took place between the premier and the Minister of Environment, Ibrahim Mounir, after the latter voiced concerns about the fuel shortage crisis in Sabha and other cities of the country’s southern region. “We do not implement everything you say,” Dbeibeh berated in response. “You are a minister specialized in the environment. To which an indignant Dbeibeh responded by accusing Mounir of “moral grandstanding” and “abusing the situation”.
