GettyDeMarcus Cousins shocked the basketball world last summer by joining the Golden State Warriors for the taxpayer Mid-Level Exception. After months of hard work off the court, and then 30 games of working Cousins in to the lineup, just three-and-a-half minutes into his second playoff game Cousins went down with another serious injury. Per ESPN the Warriors are fearful Cousins has torn his quad, and Coach Kerr admitted that the injury is serious and he “could be out for a while”. The Cousins injury definitely robs the Warriors of a new offensive weapon and a potentially powerful counter they had been hoping to be able to break out against switching defenses. While Cousins’ injury is tragic for him, and a major blow for the Warriors, the presence of their old friend Bogut should help them get back on track.
