Deal to buy Plymouth's House of Fraser building could be imminent'It is hoped that a deal will be done soon'View Image House of Fraser, Plymouth city centre (Image: William Telford)A deal to purchase Plymouth’s huge House of Fraser building could be imminent. ‌The House of Fraser store announced in December that it would cease trading this month and started a closing down sale. ‌Today, Joanne High, senior associate and head of agency at Vickery Holman in Plymouth, told PlymouthLive: “There has been interest in the House of Fraser building, it is still on the market. It is hoped that a deal will be done soon, to buy the building.”The House of Fraser building originally went on the market in May 2022 , with offers sought “in excess of £4m”. It soon attracted interest and three months later commercial agents told PlymouthLive that “a deal has been agreed”, but the contract was never signed.
