Here, Richard Kaczmarski tells us about his towering backyard oak that once held his childhood tree house. This tree was in the backyard of our Willowdale home when my parents purchased it in the early 1960s. The big oak in Richard Kaczmarski’s backyard once held his childhood tree house. My friends and I spent hours up there in the summers, and the tree didn’t seem to mind a bit. Our tree held on to the limb long enough so that we could free up the lines and call for a professional’s help to remove the branch.
