Many people often flock to Dedham Vale on the Suffolk and Essex border, with the landscape often considered one of the most beautiful places in the country. The walk trough Dedham Vale was recently recommended as one of the top 20 most glorious in the UK by The Times. The newspaper said to start in Dedham and follow the Stour Valley Path through Flatford Mill to Manningtree before circling back to Dedham past Castle Hill. It said: "Follow the meandering River Stour through Constable Country to Flatford Mill and Willy Lott's Cottage.
