A trial of Extinction Rebellion activists over a blockade of news printers was thrown into chaos yesterday when a defendant stormed out after a judge ruled that a co-accused who had been arrested after glueing himself to the dock could not return to court. Sally Davidson, 33, of Streatham, south London, told District Judge Sally Fudge that she wanted to stand trial alongside Liam Norton, 36, the son of a Labour councillor, from Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
