Khaleda made the remarks on Thursday at an event marking the death anniversary of the party’s founder and former president Ziaur Rahman. Former president Ziaur Rahman was assassinated on May 30, 1981, by a group of army officers at the Chittagong Circuit House while in office. This year commemorates his 44th death anniversary event, which Khaleda joined as the chief guest via video call.
