Seven Democratic presidential hopefuls meet tonight in Manchester, N.H., for the first debate since voting began in the party’s race to find a nominee to challenge President Trump, and the top candidates have a lot on the line. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., topped the field in Iowa, so they’re likely to be targets. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts once led the field here in New Hampshire, but was badly eclipsed by Sanders in Iowa. A defeat in Tuesday’s primary here could severely harm her chances for the nomination.
