Democrats’ hopes of expanding the Senate map into solidly Republican states like Arizona, Georgia and Arkansas have not panned out. That would echo the argument that some Republicans Senate candidates like John McCain (R-Ariz.) are making not to give Clinton a “blank check” as president.
