MANILA, Philippines (Updated) — The Department of Education has recorded a total of 823 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 among its personnel and learners. Data from DepEd as of August 23 and released on Monday showed that of the total cases, 310 are active, 490 are recoveries, and 23 are deaths.
