But Alaba’s association with Bayern will come to an end this summer when his contract expires as he is keen to take on a new challenge. The report claims Alaba will sign a five-year contract to keep him at the Bernabeu until 2026. Chelsea had also been one of the clubs credited with an interest in Alaba but he has ultimately decided on a switch to La Liga. The 25-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of next season and the Bundesliga club are yet to open contract talks with the defender.
