If a voucher plan gives parents greater options for their chidren, it’s worth trying. Increasing accessibility to private schools will make public schools compete harder. Any plan that diverts tax money from public schools has the potential to harm students. Vouchers may be OK for some students, but they work against inclusivity and diversity. Vouchers could provide needed options in some cases, but they’re not perfect.
