It is a steady stream of people holding their scars up to the media crying out that their pain is worse and deserving of exemption. Jacinda’s staggering outright majority would evaporate within a week of a Covid leak that could be blamed on bureaucratic incompetence. Our positive solidarity in lockdown which is propelling Labour to an unprecedented majority is the same toxic solidarity that universally demands a ruthless border quarantine process that would make your average drug cartel blush.
