See you Sept. 11, Dez. (AP Photo/Roger Steinman)Mike Fisher of 105.3 FM radio in Dallas reported Tuesday morning that Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant suffered a concussion in practice on Monday, meaning he won’t play in Thursday night’s preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the station later Tuesday that Bryant and starting defensive end Tyrone Crawford, who suffered a concussion during practice Sunday, are “being monitored” and “it shouldn’t impact them over the long haul.” Crawford will sit out Thursday’s game, as well. [The hidden cost the Jets could pay for the Ryan Fitzpatrick contract delay]Bryant himself told Cowboys Nation not to worry:I promise I'm ok Cowboy nation #x.. — Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) August 23, 2016Seeing as how Bryant will now miss Thursday’s game and that veterans — especially concussed veterans — rarely play in preseason finales, we’ve likely seen the last of him in game situations until the Cowboys open the season Sept. 11 against the Giants.
