Thankfully many families are willing to open their homes and give these pets the love they deserve. As part of the Butcher's Lockdown Dog Heroes competition, we have heard from many readers eager to share the story of life in lockdown with their rescue dog. Animal enthusiast, Ebony Lyons, rescued her dog Dina from an Ashbourne shelter last year and they've been a dynamic duo ever since. Having never been allowed a dog of her own, Ebony used to voluntarily walk the dogs at the shelter. The Butcher's Lockdown Dog Heroes competition has now closed.
