(Reuters)The Intercept launched in early 2014 in part to publish and explain documents previously released by famous onetime National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden. Winner, according to a search warrant affidavit, was found to have printed the NSA report on May 9, just four days after its publication date. The Reporter told the Contractor that the Reporter had received the documents through the mail, and they were postmarked “Augusta. “The Intercept has no knowledge of the identity of the source,” says the website in a statement. During the heyday of the Obama leak investigations, there was a great deal of chatter that killer sources would clam up.
