The Palm restaurant in Washington was the first location of the famous steakhouse outside New York. But since 2012, the descendants of the founders of the Palm restaurant have been fighting in Manhattan courtrooms over licensing royalties and other complex transactions related to the legendary steakhouse chain. The 1972 deal would become the blueprint for all other Palm restaurants that Bozzi Sr. and Ganzi Jr. opened.
