The trial over the death of Argentine football superstar Diego Maradona has been postponed once more. Initially set to start on March 17, the new proceedings’ commencement date has been set for April 14. The hearings will also go through with a reduced number of witnesses, dropping from the original over 200 to around 100. The original hearings were scheduled for June 2025, but began in March 2025. Eight people stand accused of failing to administer proper medical care for Maradona, who died on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60.
