A new health and wellbeing hub may be on the cards for Maidenhead following thecreation of the new NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB), a chief officer has said. Sam Burrows, chief system development and engagement officer for NHS Thames Valley said he is ‘really keen’ to ensure healthcare services for residents in Maidenhead ‘are actually meeting the needs of a growing population’. He said that the ICB is in talks with the Royal Borough over hopes of securing funding to deliver a new health and wellbeing hub in the town. In 2024 the former NHS Frimley ICB confirmed plans to build a new health hub in Reform Road were scrapped over increased construction costs and rising interestrates. “We’re really committed to funding what I think are really high-quality services in the Thames Valley and continuing to invest in them,” he added.
