Priyanuch Nonwangchai, Kawita Rachada, Apiwan Satayabundit, Wasin Namprom and Jidarat Promkhun were grinning as they greeted the lawyers who will represent them in the case. All except Jidarat were arraigned on charges of pre-meditated murder; colluding to destroy, move and hide their victim’s body; jointly detaining their victim; joint theft; and jointly carrying arms in public places. Jidarat has been charged only with theft because she was not present at the murder scene. But it is alleged that she helped other defendants sell the mobile phone of their alleged victim, Warissara Klingjui. Warissara’s body was found, cut into two pieces, in Khon Kaen province in July.
