Awards season is in full swing, and today, the nominees for the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Award have been announced, and many of Disney’s shows and films have been nominated. The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honour media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives. The Searchlight Pictures film, “All Of Us Strangers”, was nominated for the Outstanding Film award. Disney’s television studios picked up multiple awards, with “Culprits” and “The Other Black Girl” being nominated in the Outstanding New Series category. Meanwhile, “The Full Monty” and “Black Cake” were nominated in the Outstanding Limited Series category.
