A co-chair behind Maidenhead’s new Neighbourhood Plan has said the team ‘acted responsibly and fairly’ in removing York Road football ground from its list of heritage sites. Maidenhead Neighbourhood Plan, designed to help shape planning decisions in unparished Maidenhead, was backed in a referendum earlier this month. Mick Jarvis is a former member of the Maidenhead Neighbourhood Forum, which formed the plan, and played a key role in putting together the heritage asset list. York Road was included in an earlier draft of the list but was later removed – something Mr Jarivs took exception to. “We do however feel Maidenhead Neighbourhood Forum acted responsibly and fairly.”
