Sergeant Tom Mulcahy told Bantry District Court a woman and her daughter had driven to Bantry airstrip — a popular dog walking area — on the afternoon of June 10, 2025. They parked in the small parking area and the woman brought her dog for a walk along the pathway by the shore of Bantry Bay. The woman’s daughter had stayed in the vehicle in the car park when another vehicle, a black BMW, parked alongside at about 2pm. The court heard it began rocking from side to side and the occupants could be heard engaging in sexual activity inside the car. When the woman returned with her dog, she saw what was happening and approached the BMW to complain to the occupants.
