Don’t expect results anytime soon, Mumbai university will miss its second deadline

University of Mumbai is set to miss its second deadline to announce the results of exams it held in the last academic year. After managing to release only 160 results by July 31, which was the deadline set by governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, the university sought time until August 5 to release the remaining results. In the days leading up to the July 31 deadline to declare results, the varsity was able to evaluate and moderate more than one lakh papers every day. This is because the varsity has more or less completed the assessment work of all the faculties except commerce and law, so the overall number of teachers reporting for assessment has gone down. In a meeting with student representatives earlier this week, MU vice-chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh had mentioned that the university hopes to clear all results by August 15.
