Hey, Donald Trump: Extending your “thoughts and prayers” to the families of fallen soldiers on Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day doesn’t make up for the way you treated the Khans. In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Republican presidential nominee recognized and thanked the mothers of soldiers killed in battle. The message, however, is just a reminder of his attempts to discredit the parents of a slain Muslim American soldier, Army Capt. Humayun Khan, after they denounced Trump at the Democratic National Convention in July.
