That’s how many poll-watching volunteers the Trump campaign hopes to recruit, according to CBS News. The backlash hasn’t dampened Trump’s call for poll watchers, however, which critics say can act as a form of voter suppression. And there’s one action poll watchers aren’t allowed to do: interfere with the ballot process. Some states allow poll watchers to challenge a person’s right to vote, but in those instances, the person being challenged would still be provided with a provisional ballot.
