It is legitimate to express concern over the government's disputable decision to classify as non-local a recent Covid case involving a Hong Kong resident who tested positive after arriving in Singapore. They are all monitoring the situation and will make their own judgment regardless of what the SAR government would like to show. Undoubtedly, Hong Kong is among the world's best in containing the Covid spread. What can be uncertain is that, should there be a second or third incident as such, common sense would guide others to view Hong Kong's responses with suspicion. Meanwhile, it was alarming to learn yesterday that there are only 1.7 million BioNTech jabs left in the SAR.
