Roots Party George Wajackoyah has taken Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua head-on over his remarks on the affairs of Nairobi county. The DP warned Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja against implementing his plans to eject matatus from the CBD saying it would hurt businesses. Wajackoyah, however, said the DP's utterances may disadvantage some sectors in the country and asked him to stop talking indiscriminately. Governor Sakaja had initiated plans to relocate long-distance matatus from the CBD to the newly built Green Park bus terminus on Haile Selassie Avenue. He said they can still pick up passengers from the CBD but drop them off at the Green Park terminus.
