The construction of the Fourth Avenue Townhomes at Dordt University is progressing well, says Vice President for University Operations Fred Verwoerd. The townhomes, adjacent to the President’s Home, will consist of 10 units and house a total of 48 students. “Insulation, electrical, and plumbing, as well as sheetrock installation, is taking place.”Verwoerd estimates that the townhomes will be completed by mid-August. This past fall, Dordt achieved record enrollment with an overall enrollment of 1,911 students; this exceeded the fall 2022 record of 1,858 students. Located in Sioux Center, Iowa, Dordt is a comprehensive university named to the best college lists by the Wall Street Journal, Times Higher Education, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review.
