The Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped Thursday, as most of its components fell and 3M dropped sharply after reporting weaker-than-expected earnings. The blue-chip index fell 255 points, or 1%, to 26330, putting the index on course for a second straight decline. The S&P 500 lost 0.3% and the technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3%.
