Drinker, 38, who broke coronavirus rules by refusing to sign in at a pub is charged

A man who was refused entry to a northern NSW pub for refusing to sign-in or provide identification has been charged after threatening the manager. Police say he entered the pub regardless, and refused a request to leave before intimidating and threatening the manager. Police say the older man again refused to provide details and continued to be aggressive and was arrested, while the younger man continued to swear at police. The younger man was issued an infringement for offensive language and given a move-on direction. The Banora Point man was refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday.
