GMP Tameside shared the significant seizure in a post on social media on Saturday (February 3). The post on social media said police seized the car with dozens of bags of cannabis after its driver fled from them on Market Street in the town. They suggested the driver come for "a chat" about the car and the cannabis at the police station. A spokesperson said: "For the driver of the vehicle who failed to stop for the officer on Market Street today we have your car and its contents. "If you would like to discuss the car and the cannabis please make an appointment and come visit us at Ashton police station whilst we have a little chat."
