Police arrested Weerachai Phetkliang, 36, at a hut in a rice field in Ban Thon Mai Phai village in Tambon Klong La in Klong Hoi Khong district at 4pm. When police arrived at the hut they found him with a 16-year-old girl, who Weeracha claimed to be his wife. Police seized 21,000 meth pills and one kilogram of ice hidden near the hut. The suspect was carrying a .38 revolver and police also found a shotgun and a pistol in the hut. He was jailed nine years after being convicted for motorcycle theft, having a gun in his possession and having sex with an underage person.
