The defendant has pleaded guilty at the Dunedin District Court to six drug charges, stemming from a police sting last year. According to court documents, police became aware of the defendant supplying the class-A drug in the Otago region in April last year. During one week in June, police confirmed the defendant had bought 52g of meth while travelling around the South Island. Despite the man being unable to leave Auckland, it was not enough to stem the flow of drugs. “The defendant began sending parcels of methamphetamine to the South Island by courier mail, as he could not return himself,” a summary of facts said.
