Police in the dry state of Gujarat recovered more than hundred bottles of illegal alcohol, courtesy a herd of buffaloes who unintentionally got drunk on their owners’ hidden supply. The three buffaloes fell sick after drinking water from a trough at a stable in the town of Chiloda in the Gandhinagar district. About the buffaloes, the police said, “The animals probably drank the water laced with liquor from the damaged liquor bottles. The bovines reportedly recovered from the symptom by Sunday.”Suspecting foul play, the vet later alerted the local police. The police raided the premises and recovered the stash of illegal alcohol worth thousands.
