Ducati has a hit on its hands with the Scrambler brand, which it launched in 2014 to “speak a new motorcycling language.” A new model, the 2019 Ducati Scrambler Icon, now joins the lineup, with sales beginning in the United States in November 2018. The new Scrambler Icon will feature high, wide handlebars, a flat seat and a revised suspension setup, designed to deliver a relaxed, upright riding position. The 2019 Scrambler Icon is available in two color combinations: Atomic Tangerine with black frame and a black seat with grey trim, and Classic ’62 Yellow with black frame and black seat with grey trim. Scrambler icon uses a carryover 803-cc oil-cooled L-Twin engine (73 hp/49 lb-ft of torque) and six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive. Ducati describes Scrambler as a lifestyle brand, and has built an ecosystem of social networks and media that they call “Land of Joy” to accompany and support that assertion.
