MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte yesterday inaugurated the P630.2 million-Siargao Island Sports and Tourism Complex and the Catangnan-Cabitoonan Bridge Three-Point Bridge System in Surigao del Norte. The Sports and Tourism Complex in the town of Dapa can host national and international sports and tourism events with world-class facilities and amenities, including a gymnasium with a maximum seating capacity of 1,632 persons. Meanwhile, the Catangnan-Cabitoonan Bridge, Libertad Bridge 1 and Libertad Bridge 2 have a total length of 461.4 linear meters with two-lane concrete bridges. “The construction of additional roads and bridges is vital to our country’s economic development by enhancing the mobility and accessibility of people, goods and services,” Duterte said.
