MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has urged local governments to use technology and other "advanced approaches" to prevent long lines in COVID-19 vaccination centers that may expose people to risks. Duterte said people might get sick if they queue for too long to avail of the pandemic jabs. Please use technology and advanced approaches to make sure the entire process is more effective," the president said during a public address last Monday. Duterte said local governments can give their constituents cards a day before their schedule for vaccination. Duterte also reminded local governments to fast-track the giving of vaccines to avoid vaccine wastage.
