Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will virtually inaugurate e-passport activities in Chandpur, Narayanganj, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachhari districts on Thursday afternoon. Electronic passports were originally scheduled to become operational in all districts of the country from November 10. The prime minister inaugurated the official distribution of e-passport in Bangladesh as the 119th country in the world to accept e-passport. They will get their e-passports when the validity of their existing passports run out and they submit applications and prescribed fees for renewal.
