File PhotoDHAKA, Jan 10, 2026 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) has decided to postpone the elections for Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 constituencies in the upcoming 13th national elections scheduled for February 12 next. Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed made the announcement today while speaking to the journalists at Nirbachan Bhaban here. “The election activities for Pabna-1 and 2 constituencies have been postponed. However, the EC clarified that the postponement applies only to Pabna-1 and Pabna-2, while the election schedule for other constituencies remains unchanged. The letter further stated that the elections in the two constituencies will remain suspended until further orders from the court.
