ECG requests GSA to independently test meters following billing complaints

In response to a press release by the Electricity Company of Ghana, Dr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, General Manager for External Communications, confirmed that all electricity meters deployed nationwide undergo rigorous testing and calibration before installation. While maintaining confidence in the accuracy and reliability of its meters, ECG acknowledged that some customers may have legitimate billing concerns. To enhance transparency, ECG has requested the GSA to independently and randomly test meters both in the laboratory and in the field. ECG reiterated its commitment to accountable and responsive service delivery and appealed to customers for continued cooperation as investigations proceed.
