The ECNEC meeting was held at the NEC conference room in the capital under the chairmanship of Chief Adviser and ECNEC Chairperson Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus. Of the total project cost, Tk 30,482.49 crore will be financed from the government exchequer, Tk 1,689.61 crore from project loans and Tk 14,247.56 crore from the concerned organization's own funds. Among the approved projects, 14 are new, five are revised and three involve extensions of project tenure. The Education Ministry received approval for two projects-the development of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University and the third revision of the Bangladesh University of Professionals development project. Besides, the ECNEC meeting was also apprised about 10 projects which were earlier approved by the Planning Adviser.
