CourtesyArt has long been held as a viable medium to confront adversity throughout our historyIt is truly heartwarming to see that International NGO Artolution has enlisted 25 Rohingya artists from their art education program -- allowing these artists to finally gain access to a platform where they can express themselves. To that end, any attempts that are made to help ease the lives of those residing in the camps in Cox’s Bazar, not to mention allow them artistic freedom to express themselves, should be welcomed. Kudos then to Artolution, who have been striving to make a difference on that aspect. This encouragement to express themselves through art, paint, and cultural activities is something that should be followed through and expanded upon, so that more of the Rohingya feel comfortable in finding their voice and expressing themselves. Art has long been held as a viable medium to confront adversity throughout our history, and empowering the Rohingya in this way is just an extension of all the other humanitarian steps we have taken thus far.
